Lake District National Park, Windermere

The Lake District, a beautiful place to take your van and enjoy glacial lakes and jagged mountainous terrain is a fisherman’s dream. Take your rod, grab your fishing gear, a couple of beers and get into your van to visit this place for a wonderful fishing trip.

Easily the most famous and best known of out all the lake is called. Windermere is about 16 kilometres long, famous for its lake cruises. The lakeside has magnificent views of mountain scenery, secluded bays, and the many wooded islands perfect for taking your transit van and going on a fishing trip.

Hope Valley, Peak District National Park,

Personally, my favourite place to visit within the UK and living in Derbyshire myself the peak district has a warm place to my heart.  This is a great place to go camping, go on nice long walks around Bamford Edge and Cubar Edge above the village of Calver located in the heart of the peak district. This area of the Peak District is renowned for its collection of villages, lovely hotels, and long walks.

Hope Valley, Peak District National Park,

Another spot on the list to take your van that I would call home is Mam Tor, the hill has great views especially watching the sunrise/sunset as the sun rises and sets over hope valley within the peak district. The stone surfaced footpath from the car park to the top of Mam Tor will reward you with one of the most dramatic viewpoints in the Peak District. If camping isn't for you there is a local village called Castleton which has many gracious hotels for you to visit.

Ever wanted to go camping, but wanted to experience a warm shower every night? Look no further than glamping also has the advantage of not needing to actually put the tent up, offering a much more instant experience, appealing to a wider audience.

Cil-y-Coed Pod is a 10-minute drive from the local market town of Machynlleth. Some of the main attractions in the area include popular mountain biking routes (Dyfi forest/ ClimachXtrail).

Dunbar, Scotland

It's worth driving to this remote part of northern Scotland. This spectacular coastal village offers van guests a perfect place to catch the Northern lights, yes you can see the northern lights in Scotland without breaking the bank!

Autumn and Winter are the best two seasons to witness the northern lights due to the long periods of darkness and the frequency of clear nights make this a great getaway for a winter holiday. This place is perfect for camping, the Dunbar Camping and Caravanning Club Site is the safest and closest place to go round the corner from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay.

Isle of Wright

A visit to the Isle of Wight wouldn’t be complete without visiting some of its famous beaches. We'd recommend choosing to cross from Southampton, it takes up to 1 hour and has the capacity to carry over 200 cars/vans per trip, departing from Southampton hourly during peak season.

There are many options to choose from when going on holiday to The Isle of Wright. Get closer to nature by enjoying a countryside walk, surfing and bodyboarding to visiting one of Europe's largest collections of dinosaur heritage and there are a number of walks and attractions available showcasing the best of the island’s fossil collection.
